Mounted in a 10Kt Gold Scrolled Frame. The cameo itself is bezel set. This is a very nice example of a finely carved cameo. High relief. Detailed. I feel this is from around the 1930s. Measures at 1 3/4" long and 1 1/2" wide.
To prevent damage store in a secure, dry and clean place. Hard stones usually don not require any special care. They are immune to ageing and the elements. Though soft shells require a little more care. They are subject to color discoloration and could crack from the dryness and ageing. Old timers used mineral oil or baby oil applying with a q-tip. then let it soak in for a few hours or so. Then wipe off the excess residue. do this all in a very gentle caring fashion.
Appears to be in excellent - pristine pre owned condition. From a very clean non smoking home.
